Mahira Khan Controversary: Actor Offers ₹10 Lakh Reward to Anyone Who Blackens Mahira Khan's Face

Bollywood actor Faizan Ansari is no stranger to controversy, but this time, he's in the spotlight for launching a scathing attack on Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Raees.

What’s making the news is his statement offering a ₹10 lakh reward to anyone from Pakistan or India who blackens Mahira Khan’s face.

Mocked ‘Operation Sindoor’

Faizan Ansari also accused Mahira of questionable behavior during her stay in India, alleging, “Thousands of people saw her when she came to India. She never stepped out of her hotel after 9 PM. What was she doing at night? The world knows the character of such people. She dared to utter the name ‘Sindoor’. One day, she’ll have to answer for it. She mocked ‘Operation Sindoor’.”

“What Would You Know About Sindoor, Mahira Khan?”

Ansari didn’t stop there. He added, “What does a Pakistani know about sindoor? I want to ask Mahira Khan — what does a pinch of sindoor mean to you? Ask that woman who lost her husband in the Pahalgam attack — she knows its true value.” 

Why Is He So Angry?

Faizan Ansari's anger erupted after Mahira Khan criticized the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor, carried out on May 7. This military action was a response to the brutal killing of 26 innocent Hindus in Pahalgam on April 22 — they were reportedly murdered after being asked their religion. In retaliation, the Indian Army destroyed nine terrorist hideouts.

Called India ‘Cowardly’

India’s retaliatory strike sparked unrest among Pakistani artists, with many prominent figures criticizing the move. Mahira Khan, who has worked in the Indian film industry, reposted a tweet by Fatima Bhutto, writing:  “Truly cowardly!!! May Allah protect our country and grant us better sense. Ameen.” ("Vastav mein kayarana!!! Allah hamare desh ki raksha kare, aur behtar samajh aaye. Aameen.")

Though Faizan Ansari’s reaction was sharp and aggressive, it echoes the sentiment of a large section of the public — those who cannot tolerate the ridicule of symbols tied to national pride and sacrifice.
